Convention on Animal Protection

CONVENTION ON ANIMAL PROTECTION

Our team of international law practitioners and academics came together in March 2020 in an effort to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The team are members of the International Animal Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section on International Law and worked to pass Resolution 101C before the ABA House of Delegates. Resolution 101C “urges all nations to negotiate an international convention for the protection of animals that establishes standards for the proper care and treatment of all animals to protect public health, the environment, and animal well-being.”
