Nonprofit Lobbying 101: A Practical Guide Based on IRS Rules

This webinar will provide a practical, plain-English overview (with real-world examples) of what according to the IRS counts as lobbying, how 501(c)(3) public charities measure it (including how and why to make the 501(h) election), what political activity is off-limits, and how to stay compliant without becoming risk-averse. We’ll briefly address how related entities (c4s and PACs) fit into a broader strategy and how to collaborate appropriately.

Presenters: Jennifer Buesser, Esq., Legal Director; Kristin O’Neal, Esq., Staff Attorney
