Advocate Origin Stories

Working at Animal Defense Partnership gives us an opportunity to meet with many people devoted to animal protection. Sometimes we get to hear a client's animal protection "origin story."  That is, what was happening at the moment, or what led you to the moment, your animal protection switch was flipped?

Sometimes it's a book, a movie, a friend, growing up with an animal in their home, a soul-crushing childhood or adulthood event, or a very positive or very negative animal experience. The stories  we hear are inspiring, heartbreaking, shocking and all sorts of other things.

We welcome those who are so inclined to send us their story. You may or may not want your name to appear - either way is fine. It can be a few sentences or some number of pages.
Please feel free to invite others to contribubte as well.
